Celebrate Kansas Voices
Featuring: Kaylee Myers
For my Celbrate Kansas Voices project I interviewed Kaylee Myers. Kaylee is one of my Education professors here at Kansas State University. I chose to interview Kaylee because she has grown up in Kansas and taught in Kansas; much like myself. I found her story incredibly fascinating about how her career has developed throughout the years. It was very shocking to me to hear about how different Manhattan, KS was while she was growing up compared to how it is now. It is unbelievable how different things are now. I was excited to have the chance to interview Kaylee and get to know her better. I felt as if I could relate to her stories growing up in Kansas, because they reminded me of my own. Kaylee is very family-oriented which I could also relate to very well. While creating this project I used a variety of different features on my iPad. I used the video camera to videotape the interview, the camera to take pictures of the schools in Manhattan, and iMovie to put everything together. I am glad that I had the opportunity to sit down and discuss Kaylee's life in Kansas and get to know her better.
